Submit
Unsolicited manuscripts of no more than five poems are welcomed but must be accompanied by a stamped, self-addressed envelope for consideration. Deadlines are December 1 and June 1, but we read manuscripts year-round. We cannot honor International Reply Coupons. At the present time, we do not accept electronic submissions. Reprints are permitted with appropriate acknowledgement. All rights revert upon publication.
Guidelines for submission are available for a SASE. Pay is two copies and a one-year subscription. Authors should submit 3–5 poems, without cover letters. Be absolutely certain that you enclose sufficient postage on your SASE if you expect us to return your work. We accept simultaneous submissions. Please contact us immediately if a poem you have submitted to us is accepted elsewhere. Reprints are accepted in a very few cases — translations being the most common. We usually report on submissions within 1–3 months, and we occasionally comment on rejections.

Subscribe
Birmingham Poetry Review is published annually in the spring. Subscriptions are $5.00 per year. Sample copies are $2.50. Tax-deductible contributions of $12.00 or more are welcomed and entitle Friends to a two-year subscription. Please make out checks to UAB.
